Gorad Skills & Training · Compliance & logistics

The right person at the right station

Make sure only trained people run each station. Skills, qualifications and training are kept in one place, and the station checks them when someone signs in.

The problem

Who is qualified for which station lives in a spreadsheet, qualifications expire unnoticed, and an auditor’s question takes a day to answer.

Early access

Built and tested in software, not yet proven on a plant line. Available to pilot plants.

How it works

Skills & Training, step by step

  1. A person signs in at a stationOn the run screen, at changeover or on the line tablet. Never during inspection.
  2. The station rules are checkedStation 4 needs "Press operation" at level qualified. The check uses the qualification valid at that moment.
  3. AllowedA valid qualification at the right level: the person starts work.
  4. RefusedMissing, expired or too low a level: the person sees why.
  5. OverrideA supervisor can allow one person at one station for a limited time (12 hours by default), with a reason. Every override is audited.

Built to stay honest

These rules are part of the app, not settings.

  • It never blocks production indefinitely: answers keep working offline for a set window.
  • History is never edited, so "who was qualified on 1 September?" has an answer.

Questions

About Skills & Training

What if the server can’t be reached?

The station keeps the last answer for a set window (12 hours by default), so work continues.

Can a supervisor let someone work anyway?

Yes, for one person at one station for a limited time, with a reason. Supervisors cannot override for themselves, and every override is audited.

Does it slow down inspection?

No. The check runs when a person signs in, never per part.

What levels are there?

In training, supervised, qualified and trainer. Each station rule sets the minimum level.
